So... the course now officially over. On the 18th I've crossed over last column in my project time table.
What a great feeling to have some rest now after so much hard work. Over past 2 years I've not only had a chance to experience UK's education system but also find out how it feels being totally exhausted (e.g. 'fighting' with myself to stay awake or falling asleep while having dinner). In spite of all the setbacks, points of utter frustration and confusion I had some really good experiences. I've learned a lot: not only things I've studied, but also about myself. With the end of this course my first step towards my goal is complete and having an A grade makes it that much sweeter.
In my opinion, the most valuable thing I've picked up during these 2 years is the importance of sketchbook development. I know it may sound strange, but I've never had a sketchbook before because no one ever asked for one, nor I felt like I needed it since all the development process was happening inside my head 24/7. However, a 'brainbook' is of little use when presenting a project work to others. I've learned to look at my work and ideas from a different perspective which I'm sure will come in handy in the future.
Before my next step 'Going to a Uni' I'll be having a year off to sort my finances, have some time for myself and do some work on my portfolio as well as learn new skills or brush up on the ones I already have. It's going to be my preparation year. :) I want to feel confident about my work and be ready for a couple more years of hard work and loads of studying. It's like filling myself up with energy to make sure that I'll have enough when things go hard or dark.
